Randall Hesser Leads Elkhart Bar Association

January 10, 2015

Randall Hesser has been elected to serve as the 2015 president of the Elkhart Bar Association. The group is comprised of around 120 attorneys in the Elkhart area.

Hesser knew in the fourth grade what he wanted to do for a career.

“Pretty early,” he said. A fan of TV programs including “Judge for the Defense” and “Perry Mason,” Hesser decided he wanted to be a lawyer. And that’s what he did.

Hesser did his undergraduate work at Indiana University, and earned a law degree from Boston College. For the past 31 and a half years, he has been an attorney with the Elkhart firm Warrick and Boyn, LLP, a full-service law firm covering all aspects of business and corporate law.

Hesser recently discussed the bar association’s goals for 2015.

“One thing we’ve done the last several years is provide continuing education for all the lawyers,” he said. “We want to continue to do this.” The bar association may also set up a new educational program offered to younger attorneys, Hesser added.

The mission of the Elkhart Bar Association is to promote the bar and the justice system in general, Hesser said. The group also sponsors scholarships for high school students going to college, and provides funds for legal aid.

Hesser lives in the Middlebury area. He and his wife, Mary, have three children.
