August 25, 2023
Beginning July 1, 2023, minors in Indiana can be seated with a parent or guardian in the bar area of a restaurant. The minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of legal drinking age and must be there for the purpose of consuming food. They may not be seated at the bar top but may be seated at a booth or table in the bar area. Bars and taverns that allow smoking may not allow any minors on the premises. Restaurants and bars that currently restrict their customers to 21 and over may continue to do so.
