Dean E. Leazenby
Dean E. Leazenby, partner, advises businesses and schools regarding a wide variety of employment and litigation matters. Leazenby has lectured on numerous topics including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA, employee benefits, bankruptcy and creditor’s rights. Before returning to Warrick & Boyn, LLP in 2019, Leazenby spent nearly five years as an in-house counsel to a publicly traded company where he advised and collaborated with the HR department regarding staffing, employee relations, discrimination, EEOC charges, affirmative action plans, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, training programs, discipline, terminations, and employment contracts.
Leazenby is the current Elkhart City Bar President, a member of the RVIA Lawyer’s Committee, and a Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Human Resource Professional.
Public Service
Leazenby is a former President of the Samaritan Health and Living Center, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana. Leazenby has also served on the boards of the Concord Dollars for Scholars, Loveway, Inc., and the Mental Health Association of Elkhart County.
In 2009, Leazenby was a Michiana 40 Under 40 award recipient and in 2013 he was inducted into the Caston School Corporation’s Distinguished Alumni Association.
