Bremen native Matt Schramm has been hired as an attorney at the law firm Warrick & Boyn. His first day at the Elkhart firm was May 11.
Schramm attended Bremen High School, and graduated from Taylor University in 2004. He graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013. After law school, Schramm worked for the Marion County Courts.
Schramm is a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. After serving on active duty from 2006 to 2010, including 10 months in Ramadi, Iraq, he is currently a drilling reservist.
A few factors influenced Schramm’s decision to enter the legal profession.
“I actually made the decision to go to law school while I was in Iraq,” he said. “I was considering what I could do if I got off active duty, and the more I researched, the more I liked it. My dad is a small business owner, and I liked the idea of helping out area businesses.”
Schramm said he is looking forward to being a productive member of the Warrick & Boyn law firm and part of the Elkhart County community.
Schramm and his wife, Allison, have two children, Ryne and Sydney.
